Ogie Alcasid Song "Pangako", Pirated in S. Korea?

I was browsing the internet when I came across this South Korean Song "For Your Love" sung by Jang Hye Jin. I was astounded when I heard it. Was it a Korean version of the original ballad song "Pangako"?

I had some research and found out some information. Was Ogie not paid for the release of the song in Korea? Well, they say he was not. This issue was never settled by the Korean recording company who leased "For Your Love".

A legal suit against the South Korean Recording Company may be issued. It was also sighted that Mr. Alcasid is now taking some legal measures to settle it. Well, probably to get the copyright property.

Pangako was released in early 2001 and For Your Love in 2006 (not sure about this). If this is the case, then Mr. Alcasid might surely win a his move.

Here is Pangako:

  1. I love Korean songs...but if they are pirating our own (Pinoy) songs without passing through a legal means - like paying a royalty fees, etc - then that doesn't sounds good.
